Just finished and uploaded the fourth chapter of my comic, Little Big Apocalypse. I just finished what will probably be the 8,9,10,11th chapters and now I'm working on getting them into the computer and inking them. I'm doing all this because I plan to publish the comic in book form and do a kickstarter project. Hopefully it will go better than Pigpen's.. although he did end up being sponsored by newgrounds for Morphemon...
I just got back from vacation so I haven't been animating much. I did do a whole lot of drawing on vacation though, I bought a ton of art supplies and some nice mechanical graphing pencils. I did about 75 pages of comic and I'm really excited to get it online.
Check out Chapter 4 if you can:
For anyone following Little Big Apocalypse, the animation and manga. I just released chapter 3 on the website. It takes place directly after episode 2 of the animation. It's full-color and done in korean webtoon style, very tall pages.
Chapter 4 will be released sometime this month and is longer than this chapter. To give you an idea of how far along everything is, I'm currently working on chapter 7.
If you get a chance, check out my indie manga/graphic novel, Little Big Apocalypse.

Well lets update everyone on my projects real fast.
Little Big Apocalypse 3 (Animation)
Little Big Apocalypse Chapter 3/4 (comic)
Little Big Apocalypse Graphic Novel (100 full color pages)
Has changed a lot and will hopefully bring "Reboot" back to it's former glory right before it ends.
LBA 3 has changed a bit as well and will diverge from the comic. I'm really excited to get these episodes out because I feel like they are cutting edge. I'm not sure what about them is cutting edge... but they will be pretty exciting and in ways you might not have seen in cartoons before.
Blllehh do you know how time-consuming coloring in 100 pages of handdrawn art is? It makes you go to bed excited cause you worked hard and you think it looks good.. then you wake up and you didn't get any sleep cause you were up all night on Photoshop. You go to work and you say "I fucking suck why am I wasting my time on this." Then you get home from work and continue until the fucking job is done.
I'm going to actually have all 100 pages printed and put in a real book that people can buy if they want. I also feel like a book is a pretty good resume item to bring in.. like hey.. oh this is my book. *throws book on table* I'll get back to you on what happens after the book hits the table, I don't have a book yet so I don't know, but I'm assuming they will immediately hire me.
: I can't wait to finish Reboot 13! Finally the end! Ahhhh no more Render or Violet or any of them... only Sackboy. Yup, it's the end of the road for "Reboot", the title will have (FINAL) in it, so people know, it's final...
Hey check out some new art I just put up in the art portal, it's a page from the next chapter of Little Big apocalypse.. the comics are color.
Working on Reboot 13 and Little Big Apocalypse 3. I haven't slept in 2 days o_O I think I might be an insomniac. Check out Little Big Apocalypse! Goodnight!
I released my Sci-fi/Horror/Videogame Mash-up LIttle Big Apocalypse 2 on May 21st, the supposed end of days, got in the top 5, which is good news. The world didn't end and my flash didn't do as well as I'd hoped, so I guess things balanced themself out. I want future episodes to perform better, so I need to take all the kind criticism of my fellow newgrounds users O_O.
For people wondering when the next Reboot will be released, I'm not too sure, the next episode will be technically insane to do. I'm not sure if I'm capable as an animator to pull it off, it's a little scary imagining it. It took a lot of my brainpower just getting the 3D-shots in Little Big Apocalypse 2 to look correct. The last spinning shot of Sackboy in the, now damaged, elevator is so complicated because Sackboy is spinning one way slowly as the elevator is spinning the other way slowly, not only that, the camera is also pulling in.
I'm hard at work on the next episode of LBA because I want to get these things out fast and develop some sort of fanbase... I feel the best way to do that is make them the best I can the fastest I can... so I'm looking to finish this next episode in a month. The screenshot below is from the new episode.
Check out LIttle Big Apocalypse 2 !
Well, littlebigapocalypse.com is up and ready for business. I decided to create a site for LBA after doing one for Reboot (http://www.thedamagedbads.com). Please check it out if you get a chance! There isn't much there but when the next episode is released there will be a ton more content.
will be released very soon, along with 2 coinciding manga chapters. Very excited to get all this content I've been spending months creating off my hands... stay tuned...
Also I need voice actors, let me know if you're interested!
EDIT: LBA made the top 5 :D
Right now I'm finishing finalizing the graphic novel version of episode 2 of Little BIg Apocalypse . It's 60 pages. At the same time, I'm also animating the second episode, I'm at the 3 minute mark with quite a bit to go but I've been working pretty quickly too.
I'm still not sure if I want to turn Little Big Apocalypse into a "webtoon" or whatever, it would mean I'd have to convert all the hand-drawn frames into computer-drawn stuff.. which just seems like another colossal task on top of the 60 fucking pages I just drew.
I once read that mangaka's usually have very bad social lives. It's not because they are nerds, or anti-social, but it's because they become so obsessed with their craft that they'd rather just spend all day drawing in their fantasy world. Hmm maybe that is anti-social. I can't lie, I wish I could do the same thing, a lot of times I wonder why I even bother, but this newest project has got me excited. I work a ton and then I come home and work on LBA, I keep thinking it's dumb but whatever, I've been animating since I was young and it's fun. If I ever do "make it" in any sort of way in the future, it will be interesting to see people's reaction to my work.
Look for Little Big Apocalypse in 2-3 weeks and with some crazy cinematic scenes.
Man, drawing stuff is time-consuming. I've been working on the second episode of little big apocalypse for the last few weeks.. but god damn, doing a "graphic novel" (manga) version of it sure is time-consuming.
Luckily the the first chapter of the graphic novel is now done. On top of that, the first 2 minutes of the episode are done.
It's going to impress people, I'm not cutting any corners, I feel like LIttle Big Apocalypse could really become popular if I do it the right way.
Little Big Apocalypse, episode 2, will be out in 2-3 weeks. I'm thinking I might attach a Reboot 13 trailer if I can get it done fast enough, guess we'll see.
If you have a PS3 and LIttle Big Planet 2, check PSN Jon Martin, because I'm also doing another series on Little Big Planet called Siberius. It's pretty bizarre and is connected to both Reboot and Little Big Apocalypse.
If I can pull off the story ideas I have in my head, people's heads will spin... O_O
Since I'm extending Little Big Apocalypse, I have to do storyboards.. but I decided to take the opportunity to do them as manga, so then I have both a manga and an animation. I'm not sure if I'm going to release it before or after the animation (little big apocalypse: episode 2) because I don't know if I want to ruin what happens before the animation comes out.
Here's a capture from the first few pages (there are 42)
