Right now I'm finishing finalizing the graphic novel version of episode 2 of Little BIg Apocalypse . It's 60 pages. At the same time, I'm also animating the second episode, I'm at the 3 minute mark with quite a bit to go but I've been working pretty quickly too.
I'm still not sure if I want to turn Little Big Apocalypse into a "webtoon" or whatever, it would mean I'd have to convert all the hand-drawn frames into computer-drawn stuff.. which just seems like another colossal task on top of the 60 fucking pages I just drew.
I once read that mangaka's usually have very bad social lives. It's not because they are nerds, or anti-social, but it's because they become so obsessed with their craft that they'd rather just spend all day drawing in their fantasy world. Hmm maybe that is anti-social. I can't lie, I wish I could do the same thing, a lot of times I wonder why I even bother, but this newest project has got me excited. I work a ton and then I come home and work on LBA, I keep thinking it's dumb but whatever, I've been animating since I was young and it's fun. If I ever do "make it" in any sort of way in the future, it will be interesting to see people's reaction to my work.
Look for Little Big Apocalypse in 2-3 weeks and with some crazy cinematic scenes.
