I released my Sci-fi/Horror/Videogame Mash-up LIttle Big Apocalypse 2 on May 21st, the supposed end of days, got in the top 5, which is good news. The world didn't end and my flash didn't do as well as I'd hoped, so I guess things balanced themself out. I want future episodes to perform better, so I need to take all the kind criticism of my fellow newgrounds users O_O.

For people wondering when the next Reboot will be released, I'm not too sure, the next episode will be technically insane to do. I'm not sure if I'm capable as an animator to pull it off, it's a little scary imagining it. It took a lot of my brainpower just getting the 3D-shots in Little Big Apocalypse 2 to look correct. The last spinning shot of Sackboy in the, now damaged, elevator is so complicated because Sackboy is spinning one way slowly as the elevator is spinning the other way slowly, not only that, the camera is also pulling in.

I'm hard at work on the next episode of LBA because I want to get these things out fast and develop some sort of fanbase... I feel the best way to do that is make them the best I can the fastest I can... so I'm looking to finish this next episode in a month. The screenshot below is from the new episode.

Well, littlebigapocalypse.com is up and ready for business. I decided to create a site for LBA after doing one for Reboot (http://www.thedamagedbads.com). Please check it out if you get a chance! There isn't much there but when the next episode is released there will be a ton more content.

Little Big Apocalypse: episode 2 will be released very soon, along with 2 coinciding manga chapters. Very excited to get all this content I've been spending months creating off my hands... stay tuned...

Also I need voice actors, let me know if you're interested!

EDIT: LBA made the top 5 :D

Need Decent Voice Actors

Right now I'm finishing finalizing the graphic novel version of episode 2 of Little BIg Apocalypse . It's 60 pages. At the same time, I'm also animating the second episode, I'm at the 3 minute mark with quite a bit to go but I've been working pretty quickly too.

I'm still not sure if I want to turn Little Big Apocalypse into a "webtoon" or whatever, it would mean I'd have to convert all the hand-drawn frames into computer-drawn stuff.. which just seems like another colossal task on top of the 60 fucking pages I just drew.

I once read that mangaka's usually have very bad social lives. It's not because they are nerds, or anti-social, but it's because they become so obsessed with their craft that they'd rather just spend all day drawing in their fantasy world. Hmm maybe that is anti-social. I can't lie, I wish I could do the same thing, a lot of times I wonder why I even bother, but this newest project has got me excited. I work a ton and then I come home and work on LBA, I keep thinking it's dumb but whatever, I've been animating since I was young and it's fun. If I ever do "make it" in any sort of way in the future, it will be interesting to see people's reaction to my work.

Look for Little Big Apocalypse in 2-3 weeks and with some crazy cinematic scenes.

Struggling to keep up...

Man, drawing stuff is time-consuming. I've been working on the second episode of little big apocalypse for the last few weeks.. but god damn, doing a "graphic novel" (manga) version of it sure is time-consuming.

Luckily the the first chapter of the graphic novel is now done. On top of that, the first 2 minutes of the episode are done.

It's going to impress people, I'm not cutting any corners, I feel like LIttle Big Apocalypse could really become popular if I do it the right way.

Little Big Apocalypse, episode 2, will be out in 2-3 weeks. I'm thinking I might attach a Reboot 13 trailer if I can get it done fast enough, guess we'll see.

If you have a PS3 and LIttle Big Planet 2, check PSN Jon Martin, because I'm also doing another series on Little Big Planet called Siberius. It's pretty bizarre and is connected to both Reboot and Little Big Apocalypse.

If I can pull off the story ideas I have in my head, people's heads will spin... O_O

Since I'm extending Little Big Apocalypse, I have to do storyboards.. but I decided to take the opportunity to do them as manga, so then I have both a manga and an animation. I'm not sure if I'm going to release it before or after the animation (little big apocalypse: episode 2) because I don't know if I want to ruin what happens before the animation comes out.

Here's a capture from the first few pages (there are 42)

Attempting a Manga o_O

I really need to get a scanner... I had to use my cellphone to import these pics -_- but im friggin broke. SO broke my website is down right now because I can't pay for the bandwidth. Yippie.. I'm clearly on the right path! (/sarcasm)

I've been working on Little Big Apocalypse. Originally, I was just going to do a recap of what happens inside the complex but ... now I see I have to go through it episode by episode. This adds about 9 episodes that I have to finish o_O. I'm excited though, I have some really crazy ideas.

I'm also working on Reboot 13... the final episode.. yikes. The ending will be something really memorable... and it involves filming me.

Well, LBA 2 should be here in a month or so, so get excited :P

peace.

Some Hand-drawn art ..

Today is my birthday! I am now 25 years old! Woo hoo I haven't died yet! Clearly, a reason to celebrate.

Not only that but it's now 2011, one year before the supposed mayan doomsday, so, perhaps, this is all our last year on earth...and newgrounds.

Finally, I just released the first episode of Little Big Apocalypse. I was hoping to get in the top 5 for my bday... But too many talented people. Ah well. There is always the next episode :D

Happy New Years!
